AHMA and City of Hope Cancer Center: Partners in Hope
City of Hope Cancer Center has long been at the forefront of
discovering powerful new ways to diagnose and treat cancer and other
life-threatening diseases. Here, some of the world's most knowledgeable
physicians, researchers, scientists and health care professionals have quietly
joined forces with generous donors in an effort to not just treat -- but one day
cure -- cancers that affect the lives of adults and children around the world.
The Hardware/Home Improvement Industry continues to be a major force in
supporting the research and treatment programs conducted at City of Hope. To
date, our industry contributions have exceeded $126 million, making it City of
Hope's premier industry support group.
The American Hardware Manufacturers Association (AHMA) has been a strong
supporter of City of Hope for many years and is involved in a number of City of
Hope fund-raising programs. Bill Farrell, Vice Chairman of AHMA, is a member
of the HHI Executive Council for City of Hope and the 1995 Spirit of Life Award
recipient. In addition, we have been longstanding participants of the Product
Donation Program, Walk For Hope, endowments, Workplace Alliance and
Cause-related Marketing.
