Who We Are:
Founded in 1901, the American Hardware Manufacturers Association (AHMA) is a leading industry trade association headquartered in Schaumburg, Illinois.

AHMA’s members include hardware producers, manufacturers' agents and industry trade publications. Membership is open to any company headquartered in the United States and engaged in the manufacture of goods for the hardware/home improvement, lawn and garden, and paint and decorating trade.

Any international firm or corporation engaged in the manufacture or marketing of products for the hardware channel is eligible to become a non-voting associate member. Manufacturers’ agents and industry trade publications can also join as non-voting associate members.

What We Do:
AHMA provides a wide range of programs and services for member firms as well as the entire industry, including industry conferences, events and workshops; legislative representation in Washington; domestic and international marketing support; technology initiatives; cost-saving programs; targeted publications; networking opportunities; and many other industry-directed services.

AHMA has been playing a leadership role in the hardware/home improvement industry for more than one century, seeking ways to bring supply channel partners together to increase industry efficiencies.
